Andrzej Cieślar (born 1956 in Třinec) is a Czech painter and graphic artist of Polish origin. He studied at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Brno and then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he focused on painting and graphics. In his work, he draws from the environment of the Beskydy Mountains and the Silesian region, which is reflected in his landscape paintings and figurative compositions. His paintings are characterized by an expressive style and sensitive capture of the atmosphere of the place. Andrzej Cieślar lives and works in Jablunkov, where he has long been dedicated to free painting and graphic art.
CREATION AND RECOGNITION
Ve své tvorbě se Andrzej Cieślar focuses primarily on landscapes and figurative motifs inspired by the environment of the Beskydy Mountains and the Silesian region. His paintings blend expressive color and lyrical atmosphere, capturing both the drama of nature and the intimate level of human life. Cieślar regularly presents himself at solo and group exhibitions in Třinec, Jablunkov, Český Těšín and Ostrava, his works have also been presented in Poland. His work is represented in a number of private collections in the Czech Republic and abroad, and the author is perceived as a prominent figure in the regional art scene.
